Annie Kooima, 75, of Rock Valley died Friday morning at a Sioux City Hospital after long illness. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday in First Christian Reformed Church at Rock Valley. The Rev. Roger Bultman officiated. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley. Visitation was from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Kooima, the former Annie Van Maanen, was born on July 28, 1907, at rural Rock Valley. She married Simon T. H. Kooima in Rock Valley on April 24, 1925. They farmed in the Rock Valley area. Her died on Jan. 23, 1978. She moved to a Rock Valley nursing home in 1982.

Survivors include two sons, Gerrit and Tom, both of rural Rock Valley; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Elsiena) Driesen of Marcus and Mrs. Jim (Janet) Van Bochove of Plattsmouth, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Bartman of Rock valley, 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
