Mr. William Wassink, 62, died at his home Friday morning following a lingering illness.

Mr. Wassink was born at Arhem, Netherlands on June 23, 1879. He came to America 48 years ago settling at Sioux Center. On October 23, 1908 he married Florence De Stigter and to this union seven children were born. A son preceded him in death, dying in infancy.

Those who survive him are his widow and the following children, Mrs. John Davelaar of Sioux Center, Mrs. Richard Rens of Rock Valley, Mrs. Albert Hubers of Doon, Mrs. John Mulder of Hynes, California, Mrs. William Hubers of Doon, and Arend who is at home. He also leaves two brothers, Cornelius Wassink of Sioux Center, Rev. Albert Wassink of Inwood, two sisters, Mrs. John Broek and Mrs. Albert Kraayenbrink, both of Sioux Center, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 P.M. from the home and at 2:00 P.M. from the Second Christian Reformed Church. The Reverend M. Kuening officiated, assisted by Rev. Bode of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Bearers were William Meynen, H. Steegink, William Broek, Gt. Vreeman, Gt. Meyer, and A. Kersbergen. Burial was in the Sioux Center Cemetery.

Mr. Wassink was a partner in the constructing firm of De Stigter and Wassink, he also was a member of the consistory of the Second Christian Reformed Church for a number of years.
