Born: 1880
Died: 1932

Mrs. William Forgie passed on at her home here Tuesday morning after an illness which began last August and became critical a few days before her death. Mrs. Forgie was 52 years of age. She had lived in Sioux Center for the past eleven or twelve years, and was highly regarded in the community, where she was an active member of the Woman’s Club and W.C.T.U. She was chairman of the park communities and never too busy to give her services for the good of the park.

Emma Hilbert was born in Scott County, eastern Iowa. She was married to William Forgie at Manson, Iowa, and the family lived there until they came to Sioux Center eleven years ago, when Mr. Forgie was one of those in charge of installing the sewerage system here. She is survived by her husband, four sons and one daughter, namely, George of Calumet; Frank, Sioux City; Clarence, Wichita; Mrs. James Wierda, Hospers; Elmer, Sioux Center.

Funeral services were held Friday at the home and Central Reformed Church, where Rev. Haverkamp officiated, and interment was in the local cemetery. Organizations of which Mrs. Forgie was a member attended the services in a body. A profusion of beautiful flowers- of which Mrs. Forgie was an ardent lover-testified to the affection and esteem in which she was held by all who knew her.
