Frieda Trageser, 86, of Hawarden, I A, died on Thursday, November 24, 1989 at Hass Hillcrest Care Center in Hawardcn, where she had been a resident since April, 1983.

Services were conducted on Monday morning, November 27, 1989 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden where she was a member, the Reverend Loren Vogler officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden, under the direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Frieda (Hildebrandt) Trageser was born on October 8/1903 in Kiel, Germany. She came to the United States in 1920, and married Henry Trageser on February 14, 1921 in Sioux City, IA. They farmed in the Hawarden / Ireton area, and retired into Hawarden in January of 1949. Henry died in February, 1958.

Mrs. Trageser is survived by a son, Robert, and his wife, Ruth, of rural Hawarden; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Minnie Meins; her husband, Henry; and two sons, Donald, at birth, and William at the age of three.
