Funeral Services for John Vander Kooi, who was taken to the Sioux Center Hospital last Saturday afternoon, passed away a few hours after being admitted.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. from the home and at 1:30 from the Chr Ref. church Rev. H. Van Deelen will officiate.

Surviving is a daughter Pearl. His wife preceded him in death on August 17, 1953, and a son William died during WWII while in service. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Gertie Kuipers of Hull; Mrs. Agnes Rynkema of George; Mrs. Minnie Visser of Hull; Nick of Clinton Wis; Mrs. Johanna Koele, William and Ben of Hull.

Mr. Vander Kooi was born at Maruice IA April 11, 1877.
