Nelda Tobak, 54, of Rock Valley died unexpectedly Thursday Sept. 7, at her home.

Services were at Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley on Monday with the Rev. Roger Spaks officiating. There will be a second funeral service at Kohl Funeral Home in Waupun, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in Waupun.

Tobak was born on July 20, 1941, in Waupun, Wis., the daughter of John and Evelyn (Daane) Tobak. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1959 and then obtained her teaching degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center. She taught in Oskaloosa, and then 29 years at Rock Valley Christian School.

She was a very active member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church and was the leader of Harmony Workers.

Survivors include her parents of Waupun; two brothers and their wives, Wayne and JoAnn of Minneapolis, and Eugene and Karen of Milwaukee, Wis. two sisters, Joyce and her husband Roland Buchholz, of Waupun and Lynnae Tobak of Forestville, California; and several nieces and nephews.
