Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church at Doon at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday August 2, for Mrs. James Kopsas 65, of Doon, who died at her home July 30 following a brief illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. William Ballard and burial was made in Hillside Cemetery at Doon.

The formre Carolina Kaftine (Kastein) was born at Carmel January 20, 107. She married James Kopsas at Sioux City August 29, 1923. He died May 12, 1972.

Survivors include seven sons George of Covina, CA, Ralph of Grants Pass OR., John of Waynesville MO., Basil of Sioux City, Louis and Alex both of Doon, Gus of Spirit Lake, four daughters, Mrs. Jerome Dena Anderson of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Curtis Mary Ann Bert of Montevideo, MN, Mrs. Gordon Elaine Powell and Mrs. David Hattie Baird both of Canton SD, three sisters, Mrs. Martin Johnson of Litchfield MN, Mrs. Paul Morton of Stockton CA, and Mrs. Lane Gerritson of Rock Valley, two brothers Elmer of Tea SD and Ben of Grand Rapids MI; 25 grand children and three great grand children.

(According to the 1925 Iowa census her paretns were Ralph Kastein and Hattie Hulstein. )
