Ben Schoep 80, of Carmel died at a Sioux Center hospital Saturday.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carmel Reformed Church with the Rev. David Laman officiating. Burial will be in the Carmel Cemetery.

Mr. Schoep was born on July 11, 1900, and attended Sioux Center schools. He married Jennie Wolfswinkle on February 22, 1928, at Carmel. They lived in the Carmel area. She died on May 27, 1978.

Survivors include one son, Marvin of Hull; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Joan) Van DeBerg of Garretson, S.D. Mrs. William G. (Wilma) Heynen of Boyden, and Mrs. Peter (Shirley) Van Regenmorter of Inwood; 17 grandchildren; three brothers, John of Montevideo, Minn. Neal of Hospers and Bill of Sioux Center; and four sisters, Mrs. Neal Van Beek and Mrs. John I. Vander Schaaf, both of Sioux Center, Mrs. Floyd Van Kley of Hermet, Calif. and Mrs. Henry Vander Schaaf of Elgin, Ill.
