Johanna Vande Berg 91, Sioux Center, died Tuesday night, Dec. 10, at Sioux Center Community Nursing Facility.

Services will be 10 a.m. today (Saturday) December 14, in the chapel of the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Arnold Punt officiating.

Burial will be prior to the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Johanna Vande Berg, daughter of Adam and Hendrika (Schut) Punt, was born November 5, 1911, near Sioux Center. She married Lawrence Vande Berg on Feb. 14, 1936. Mr. Vande Berg died Oct. 16, 1992

She was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church in Sioux Center.

Survivors include four children, the Rev. James and Kathleen Vande Berg of Mahopac, N.Y. Jeanne and Wayne Dykshorn of Ireton, Lois and Gary Owens of Camdenton, Mo, and Ken and Jane Vande Berg of Decorah, Iowa, 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ada and John Vermeer of Loveland, CO; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette and Martin Punt of Jacksonville, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Vande Berg; eight brothers, and two sisters.
