Died: November 22, 1991Frances Hevern, 85, of Rock Valley died Friday, November 22, 1991, at the Valley Manor Nursing Home.
Frances McGuire was born December 2, 1905, at Larchwood. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Larchwood before teaching in rural schools in the Larchwood area.
She married Joseph Hevern, February 12, 1929, at Larchwood. They lived on a farm near Rock Valley until retirement in 1974, when they moved to Rock Valley.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and was past grand regent and a district deputy delegate to the National DCA Convention in Florida.
Her husband died March 30, 1983. She moved to the Valley Manor Nursing Home, May 3, 1990.
Survivors include two sisters: Ester Hughes, Howard, South Dakota; and Leona Wyant, Inwood, Iowa; nephews and nieces.
Services were held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock Valley. Burial was in the church cemetery. Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley was in charge of arrangements.
