Funeral services for Alyda C. Heusinkveld, who died at the home of her daughter at Annville, Kentucky, were held on Tuesday, July 3, in the First Reformed Church of Maurice, Iowa with Rev. David Laman officiating.

Mrs. William Heusinkveld was born Alyda Catarina Schoevel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 30, 1858, and moved to Greenleafton, Minnesota when she was six years old. On March 13, 1879, she was united marriage with William Heusinkveld. In 1890, they moved to Maurice, Iowa where they made their home until the death of her husband in 1925. She went to Kentucky in 1927 where she had made her home with her two youngest daughters until the time of her death on June 30 at the age of 97 years and 8 months.

Surviving her are all of her nine children; Mrs. Effie Mieras, Maurice, Iowa; H.A. Heusinkveld, Boone, Iowa; B.F. Heusinkveld, Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Josie Kukuk, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mrs. Minnie Kukuk, Rapid City, South Dakota; Mrs. Mabel Mieras, Emily Heusinkveld, Zilda Heusinkveld, all of Annville, Kentucky; and Clifford Heusinkveld, Maurice, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
