Died: August 31, 1992 Lester, IowaFuneral services for Vivian Ageson, 72, of Lester will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. in the Lester Community Center with interment in Hillside Cemetery.
She died Monday August 31, 1992, in her home.
Vivian Caroline Oliver was born April 19, 1920, in Sioux Center. She grew up and attended school in Sioux Center, graduating from high school in 1937. In 1938, she moved with her family to Lester.
On March 7, 1941, she married Harold "Swede" Ageson in Lester. They operated a trucking business for many years and later they were involved in retail business including grocery, campers, and salvage furniture. In 1967, they converted the Lester Public School into a furniture store, naming it Ageson Interiors.
She was a member of the Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert and Paul, both of Lester; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Sharon) Carolan and Mrs. Roger (Cheryl) Monen, both of Lester; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger of Rock Rapids, four sisters, Mrs. Duane (Kathleen) Gage of Lester, Mrs. Ceel (Ruth) Vanden Brink of Lansing, Michigan, and Mrs. John (Phyllis) Zeutenhorst and Mrs. Butch (Shirley) Mouw, both of Orange City.
