Boyden boy succumbs to injury Vincent Dale Koerselman, 14, son of Mr and Mrs Cornie Koerselman who farm about six miles east of Sioux Center, died early Tuesday at the Community hospital after suffering injuries in an automobile accident. The one-car mishap occurred about six miles east, of Sioux Center, near Middleburg, Monday night.

A highway patrolman said the car which the youth was driving evidently went out of control.
The father said Monday night that his son was on the way to visit neighbors when the accident
occurred. The Boyden boy was found by a neighbor, Gerrit Gravengoed.

Authorities said that the youth was traveling alone, and evidently lost control of the car, striking the embankment of a farm driveway and then bouncing off into a tree. Vincent died at 2:05- a.m:, about four hours after being brought to the hospital.

Survivors in addition to the parents include a sister, Phyllis, two brothers, John and Gregory and the paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Gerrit Koerselman of Sioux Center. He was a sophomore at the Sioux Center high school.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Reformed church, Middle burg. Rev. W. Cclenbrander will officiate. Burial will be in Middleburg cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg funeral home.
