Maria, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Van Olst, was born September 4, 1940 in Harderwyk, The Netherlands, where she attended school. She moved to the United States of America with her family at the age of thirteen and attended school in Sheldon, Iowa

She was united in marriage to Darryl W. Addink on June 8, 1960 at Rock Valley, Iowa They lived in Sioux Center, Iowa all of their married life.

She was a member of Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center and was active in R.C.W. and teaching Sunday School. She also did volunteer work at the hospital.

She is survived by her husband Darryl; her mother, Mrs. John (Maria) Van Olst of Rock Valley, Iowa; one son, Mark of Lakewood, Colorado; three daughters; Maria of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Pamela of Sioux City, Iowa; Patricia at home; two brothers; Lambert of Rock Rapids, Iowa; John of Sheldon, Iowa; four sisters, Eileen De Jong of Junction City, Kansas; Gertrude Overweg of Rock Valley, Iowa; Gerri Reinke of Rock Valley, Iowa; Lucy Ymker of Inwood, Iowa

She was preceded in death by her father, John and one sister, Wympje Gertrida.
