Roger Den Herder passed away Tuesday night in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 41 years. On September 17, 1957, in Sioux Center, he was united in marriage to Audrey Dykshorn who now survives. He is also survived by four children all at home: Ruth, 14, Kaye, 14, Kirk, 10, and Jim, 7. In addition he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Den Herder of Sioux Center, and the following brothers and sisters: Paul of Sioux Center, Phil of Sioux Center, Mary, Mrs Warren Vander Berg of Marquette, Michigan; and Carol De Ruyter of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He is preceded in death by one brother, James, on December 13, 1954. Mr. Den Herder served in the armed forces of his country from January of 1955 to October of 1956, fourteen months of which were spent in Germany. He also served on the Consistory of the First Reformed Church and was currently the Chairman of the Deacons. His passing is mourned by many friends and relatives.
