Elmer Bonnecroy passed away Thursday at 8:15 in the evening at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Bonnecroy near Orange City. Elmer was born on June 4, 1924. He leaves his parents and one brother Robert and his wife, and two children, Mary Ellen and Kathleen; also his uncles, aunts and many relatives.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Bonnecroy home and in the First Reformed Church with Rev. Henry Colenbrander officiating. The pall bears were cousins: Clarence, Gerrit and Milton Pennings, Irwin Muilenburg, Carl Pennings and Stanton Grotenhuis. Interment was made in the Orange City Cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Service in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. William Rozeboom came from Ottumwa to attend the funeral of her nephew and to spend a few days with her sister and husband, the Bonnecroys.
