Mrs. Ellen E. Bonnecroy, age 65, of Orange City, passed away Sunday, August 30 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Ellen Ester was born July 13, 1922 at Orange City, the daughter of Henry Luchtenburg and Carrie Van Wechel Luchtenburg. On January 24, 1947, she married Robert James Bonnecroy at Orange City. They farmed south of Orange City.

Mrs. Bonnecroy was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City and the church’s Mary-Martha Circle.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Mrs. Ian (Mary Ellen) Coulter of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Kenneth (Kathleen Meendering and James both of Orange City, and Beth Ann of Phoenix, Arizona, five grandchildren and five sisters, Jessie Blake of Honolulu, Hawaii, Christina Vander Aarde of Orange City, Diana Verdoorn of Ashton, Mina Fedders of Orange City and Blanche Zevenbergen of Baldwin, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Adolph, John and Leonard Luchtenburg.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 2, at the First Reformed Church in Orange Church in Orange City with the Rev. Dr. Cecil Martens and the Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
