Anna A. Vander Hamm, 93, formerly of Ireton, died Thursday, August 18 at a hospital in Marengo.

Services were Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. The Rev. Mark Carnahan officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Born Anna Rassler on February 28, 1895, in Ludlow, Illinois, she was educated in Champaign County, Illinois, and at Highland Park College in Des Moines. She married Oscar Vander Hamm on January 28, 1920, in Des Moines, and the couple lived in the Ireton area. He died in July of 1966. She moved to the Marengo area six years ago.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Eugene of Ireton; two daughters, Darlene Hacker and Delphine Vander Hamm, both of Marengo; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
