Mrs. J. H. Douris, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Hackett of this city, died at her home in Willmar, Minn., last Thursday from complications following a severe illness from pneumonia. She was sick about ten weeks. The remains were brought to Hawarden Friday and interment took place Saturday morning in the Catholic cemetery. Julia Hackett was born in Plainview, Minn., July 19, 1878. She came with her parents to Hawarden twenty-two years ago. She was married to Mr. J. H. Douris on Jan. 15, 1909. Besides her husband she leaves her aged parents and seven brothers and sisters and a large circle of friends to mourn her death. Those from out of town who came to attend the funeral were Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Hackett, Walter & John Hackett and Mrs. Statia Rodenbur of Willmar. Mrs. Luella Hackett and son of Garretson, SD. Mrs. Black of Bemidji, MN and J. J. Barrett of Sheldon.
