Stephanie M. Nordgaard Dinsdale, age 19, of West Des Moines died July 18, 1997, at her residence from Batten's disease.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23, at 10:00 A.M., at West Des Moines Christian Church. Burial was at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines under the direction of the McLaren's Funeral Home.

Stephanie was born at Orange City. She lived in George and had lived in West Des Moines since 1982. She was a member of West Des Moines Christian Church.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Linda & Dave Dinsdale of West Des Moines, her father and step-mother, Les and Teri Nordgaard of Henderson, Nev; two stepbrothers, Britton Dinsdale of West Des Moines and Mark Stansberry of Henderon, Nev.; two stepsisters, Signe Dinsdale of Austin, Tex., and Wendy Stansberry of Marietta, GA; grandparents, Vernon & Marie Van Ommeren of West Des Moines, Marvin & Margorie Nordgaard of Mesa, AZ; Don & Merrily Townsend of Blakesburg and Frances Dinsdale of Traer; and a stepgrandmother, Ruby Gosch of Eagleville, MO.

Memorials may be given to Ruby Van Meter School of Make a Wish Foundation.
