Hawarden Independent, December 18, 1941

Mrs. Wm. Diltz, sister of Loren Reece of Hawarden, died at Yankton, SD. on last Wednesday, December 10th. Mrs. Diltz was 57 years old at the time of her death, and is survived by her husband and eight children, also by three brothers and two sisters.

She formerly lived in Hawarden, her husband having operated a grocery store some years ago in the building now occupied by the Carl Olsen grocery store. They left Hawarden about twenty-five years ago.

Mr. & Mrs. Loren Reece and son, and a cousin, Fred Schum, of Missouri, attended the funeral.
