Jacob Wielenga was born August 19, 1872 at Berkikum Friesland, Netherlands. He was married May 12, 1895 to Renske Knol. To this union four children were born; Peter at Doon, Iowa, Jake of Paramount, Calif., Anna (Mrs. Dave Dykstra) of Hull, Ia., and Ben of Norwalk, Calif. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Wielenga came to America March 11, 1911 and lived at Hospers, Ia. and later in several places in Sioux County. They came to Hull March 1944.

Mrs. Wielenga passed away Feb. 1, 1949, after which Mr. Wielenga made his home by his daughter and family at which place he passed away Wednesday, March 8th, at 10pm at the age of 77 years and almost 7 months.

Funeral services were held on MOnday from the Dave Dykstra home and the Christian Reformed church with the Rev. J. Hanenburg in charge. Burial was made in Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Smit, John Zoet, Ralph Bos, John Humme, William De Roos and William Pals.
