Herbert Wielenga, 91, of Orange City, died January 17 at the Hull nursing home. Services were held Monday at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Orange City with The Rev. John T. Ebbers officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery at Orange City under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Herbert Wielenga was born November 26, 1888, at Orange City. He married Johanna Vink February 28, 1912, at Orange City. She died in 1944. He married Alice Vander Waal in October 1952. She died in 1966.

Mr. Wielenga farmed at rural Boyden until moving to Orange City about 30 years ago. He had been a resident of Pioneer Home at Orange City before-moving to the nursing home at Hull. He was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include a son, Louis H. of Boyden; three daughters, Mrs. Marynetta Bergsma of Lakewood, California, Mrs. Henry (Delia) Pals of Slayton, Minnesota, and Mrs. Lorraine (Hermina) De Zeeuw of Bellflower, California,: three stepsons, Nick Vander Waal of Eugene, Oregon and John and Bert Vander Waal, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. William (Marie) Van Roekel of Rock Valley and Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Van Roekel of Boyden, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
