Wilhemina Geraldina, who was known as "Mina", was the daughter of Henry and Carrie (Van Wechel) Luchtenburg. She was raised in Orange City.

On January 24, 1940, she married Herman Fedders at Orange City. They farmed at Orange City for many years. In 1971 they retired into town. "Herm" passed away Sept. 3, 1984 in Orange City.

On April 7, 1998, she became a resident of the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City, where she passed away.

Mrs. Fedders was a member of the First Reformed Church, where she belonged to the Mary-Martha Circle. She also taught Sunday School classes and sang in the choir.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Don and Pat Fedders of Wahpeton; three grandchldren and their spouses, Dan and Pam Fedders of Yankton S.D.; Greg and Penny Fedders of Monroe Wisconsin; and Teresa and David Rutledge of Glenwood; five great-grandchildren, Will, Emily, Elizabeth, Ellison, and Sadie Fedders; a sister, Diana Verdoorn of Ashton; two brothers-in-law, Robert Bonnecroy of Orange City; and John Zevenbergen of Baldwin, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Grace Dykhuizen and Harriet Fedders, both of Orange City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Roger Dean; three brothers, Adolph, Leonard, and John Luchtenburg; three sisters, Christina Vander Aarde, Blanche Zevenbergen and Ellen Bonnecroy; an adopted sister, Jessie Blake.
