Nelson Vink, 65, of Sheldon died Sat. May 4, 1991 at the Sheldon hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Sevices were held Wed. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon with the Rev. Jay Wesseling and Dr. Richard Venema officiating.
Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery with military graveside rites coducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion of Sheldon.

Mr. Vink was born July 12, 1925 in Orange City, the son of John and Edith (Scheringa) Vink. He married Betty Van Ommeren June 16, 1954 in Sheldon. He farmed and also worked for the Vink Furniture in Sheldon. He retired in 1974.

Mr. Vink was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W. of Sheldon. He also was a member of First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Bryan Pollema of Sioux City, a son, Nelson Jay and his wife Marsha of Garland Tex; a sister, Mrs. Glen (Jean) Jasper of Hospers; a brother, Marvin of Sheldon and two grandchildren, Ashley and Megan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Nelson, Dick, Herman, and Stanley.
