Ed Vander Wolde, 78, died here Sunday, June 12, 1988.

Services were Wed. June 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Reformed Church of Sheldon with Rev. Warren Hietbrink and Rev. William Haak officiating. Interment was at East Lawn Cemtery here under the direction of Andringa Funeral Home, Sheldon.

Ed Vander Wolde, son of Bartus and Benjia Vander Wolde, was born Oct. 11 1909, in Holland. He came to the United States in 1915 at the age of 6. The family settled in Steen, Minn. where he attended school.

He married Angeline Evink of Boyden, on Dec. 8, 1936 at Canton, S.D. They farmed at Steen until 1967 when they retired to Sheldon.

He is survived by his wife Angeline; a daughter Edna of Spirit Lake; three sons, Bert of Sioux Falls, Ray of Buffalo, MN. and Gene of Moorhead, MN. 10 grandchildren; a sister, Jessie Boeve, of Pipestone MN.
