Freemon Van De Stouwe, 83, of Hull, died Thursday, May 13, at Marian Health Center in Sioux City.

Services were Monday at 1:30pm at American Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Steve Bierly officiating. Burial was at Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Freemon Lewis Van De Stouwe was born April 26, 1916, at George, the son of Alfred and Alice (Kooiker) Van De Stouwe. He was raised at George and Doon. He married Tillie Van Kalsbeek at Sioux Center on July 6, 1938. They farmed at Hull and then moved to a farm near Ireton. Later, they returned to Hull, where they farmed the Van De Stouwe family farm. She died January 24, 1994, at Hull.

He was a member of American Reformed Church.

Survivors include his two sons and their wives, Allen and Bea Van De Stouwe, all of Hull; two daughters and their husbands, Norma and Don Slothouber and Noreen and Earl Bonestroo, all of Hull; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Myona Heerde of Milford, Beulah Witte of Rock Valley and Betty and her husband Pete Petersen of Battle Creek; a brother and his wife, Robert and Dottie Van De Stouwe of Mineola, New York; and a sister-in-law, Minnie Van De Stouwe of Dallas, Texas.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon; and two brothers-in-law, Julius Heerde and Ray Witte.
