Miss Henrietta Vander Meyden was born March 18, 1903 at Cascade, Michigan. She lived for 20 years at Manhatten, Montana. In 1924 the Vander Meyden family moved to South Holland, Illinois. In Sept. 1930 she was united in marriage to Mr. Cornelius Van Schouwen.

Rev. Cornelius Van Schouwen's first church was Archer Avenue Christian Reformed Church 1931-1937, his second church was De Motte, Christian Reformed Church De Motte, Ind. 1937-1943. While Rev. Van Schouwent was chaplain in the Army 1943-1946, Mrs. Van Schouwent lived in Lansing, Illinois. In 1946 in Sept. they moved to Orange City and the Rev. served as Bible teacher at Western CHristian High School located in Hull Iowa, in August of 1947.

Mrs. Van Schouwent died February 10, 1949. Funeral services were held on Feb. 14, at 1:30 from the Christian Reformed Church at Hull and on the 16th from the Christian Reformed Church, South Holland, Illinois. Interment was at Oakbridge Cemetery, Lansing Ill.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, mother, and 2 brothers and 1 sister.
