H.G. (Hal) Van De Water, 79 passed away at his home early Sat. morning. Funeral services were held Tues. at the Parker Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Van De Water was born Nov. 25, 1979 at Kingston, Ontario and came to South Dakota as a child. On June 26, 1913, he married Ada Mitchell at Hurley, S. D. They resided at Irene until 1943, where he operated a hardwared store for several years. First in partnership with his brother Bert, and later by himself, before moving to Parker.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Berneice Stewart of Sioux City, two sons, Keith of Vancouver Wa. and Lloyd of Craig Ia, a sister, Mrs Lillian Mabee of Parker and five grandchildren.
