Joe Wynja, 67, Sioux Center, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1990, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held at 10:30am Saturday, Dec. 1 at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Donald Barnes officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens at Sioux Center. Visitation was held at the Vander Ploeg Chapel in Sioux Center.

Mr. Wynja was born April 7, 1923, at Steen, Minn. He married Mary Jean De Zeeuw March 11, 1949, at Sioux Center. He was a livestock order buyer in Sioux Center.

Mr. Wynja was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Brent and his wife, Maggie of Ames, Leslie and Harlan, both of Sioux Center, and Carl and his wife, Lori of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a daughter, Nancy and her husband, Dave Olivier of Rock Valley; a granddaughter, Lisa; three brothers, Wessel of Ireton, Chris of Sioux Center and Jim of Melvin; and three sisters, Christina Ruisch of Sanborn, Mrs. Bud (Edna) De Groot of Sheldon and Mrs. Marvin (Dorothy) Uittenbogaard of Sheldon.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
