Elizabeth Vander Linden, 82, of Sheldon died March 21 at Prairie View Home at Sanborn.

Funeral services were Tues. March 24, at 10 a.m. at the First Reformed Church at Sheldon. Rev. Kenneth Tenckinck officiated. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon under the direction of Sanborn Funeral Home Service.

Elizabeth Van Ravenswaay, the daughter of Richard and Gertrude Van Ravenswaay, was born at Veenendaal, The Netherlands on Veb. 20, 1905. Her early youth was spent in The Netherlands, and then she came to the United States in 1915. She received her education in The Netherlands and in Sioux County. She married William Vander Linden on Feb. 23, 1927 at Orange City. They farmed in the Ireton, Inwood, and Sheldon areas. She entered Prairie View Home at Sanborn in August of 1983. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sheldon.

She is survived by her children; Robert, John, Dennis Vander Linden, Betty (Mrs. John R.) Kreykes, and Julia (Mrs. Bob) Merley, Jr., all of Sheldon, James Vander Linden of Sioux Falls, S.D., Paul Vander Linden of Ashton, and Janice Vander Schaaf of Sanborn. 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Gerrit Van Ravenswaay of Sheldon and Henry of Corona, California.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, William, three sisters and four brothers.
