William Torwelle, 64, retired farmer and stockman of Ireton, died Monday following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon at the Lutheran church in Hawarden and burial will be at Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Mr. Torwelle was born at Ireton February 7, 1892. He lived on a farm near Hawarden before retiring to Ireton a year ago.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church of Hawarden.

Survivors are the widow, Sadie a son, William Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. Otto Schimming, Mrs. Lowell Hartman and Mrs. Wendell Holtkamp, all of Hawarden; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Gregg of Sioux City and Mrs. Walker Hoogland of Ellsworth, Minn; a brother, Carl of Ireton, and four grandchildren.
