Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the home and 1:30 at the Christian Reformed Church for Dick H. Wesselink, 56 years of age. Burial was made at the Carmel cemetery. Rev. M. L. Jones officiated at the services. Mr. Wesselink died suddenly at his home Monday morning.

Dick Wesselink was born on a farm east of Carmel on March 19, 1894. He grew to manhood in and around Carmel. In 1915 he married the former Dena Sandbulte and to this union two
children were born; Henrietta (Mrs. Walter Post) and John, both of Carmel. The first Mrs. Wesselink died during the influenza epidemic in December, 1918.

He was married to Miss Ethel Collenbaugh in June 1925. He has been employed in the Collenbaugh Motor Co. having moved to Rock Valley in 1920. Later he worked for the Community Oil company and in 1934 started in business for himself, which he maintained until hid death.

He was united in marriage to Ethel Collenbaugh in June, 1925.

Mr. Wesselink was a faithful member of the Methodist Church, a member of the official board and a Sunday School teacher for 17 years. This class numbers 22 members. Previously he had been a member of the choir.

He is survived by his widow, two children, Mrs. Walter Post and John of Carmel, six grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. Will Rozeboom, of Rock Valley, Mrs. Will Sandbulte of Carmel and Mrs. Henry Sandbulte of Carmel. His brother Harold, lives in Carmel.

Rev. M.L. Jones conducted the funeral services and the choir sang "Saved By Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross" and Mr. Lawrence De Vries sang "Abide With Me" and Mr. Clarence Kempema at the organ. Many beautiful floral tributes marked the esteem in which he was held.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Rich, Frank Druyvesteyn, Hessel Roorda, Martin Bonthuis, John Dykstra and Walter Warntjes.
