Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the First Christian Reformed Church, Rev. J.B. Hulst. Arrangements were in charge of the Van Etten Funeral Home and interment was made in the Orange City cemetery.

Mr. Wiersma was born April 23, 1887, at Orange City where he lived during his entire life, except for a few years which he spent at Sanborn. He was married in the year 1911 to Mary Hofland, who died in 1914. One son, Marion, was born to this union. Mr. Wiersma remarried in 1930 to Sarah Terpstra.

Survivors are his widow; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Wiersma and daughters, Helen Marie and Francine Mae; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; Peter, Dewey, Pier and Sam Wiersma of Orange City, Mrs. William Meyer of Paterson, N.J. and Mrs. Herman Wobbema of Altadena, Calif.
