Funeral services were held at the American Reformed Church in Orange City at 10am June 14 for Mrs. George W. Tolman, 78, of Orange City, who died at a nursing home in George June 11.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Alvin Hoel and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Hattie Slange, daughter of Minze and Aaltje (Veenstra) Slange, was born in the Netherlands December 10, 1892. She married George W. Tolman in Apsterland, Friesland, Netherlands November 27, 1913 and came to the U.S. shortly thereafter. Mr. Tolman died in March of 1961.

Survivors include three sons, William of Orange City, George of Garden Grove, Calif., and Maurice of Rochester, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Van Roekel of Orange City and Mrs. Margaret Cook of Lomita, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
