Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Peter Boonstra, 89, who passed away Thursday evening, Sept. 1 at the Grossmann Hospital.

Mrs. Boonstra, nee Pietje Postma, was born in Friesland, the Netherlands. She married H. Boonstra on May 9, 1889. The Boonstras came to America in 1907 settling at Orange City and have lived here since their arrival. Mr. and Mrs. Boonstra had 2 adopted children, Dick who died in April 1935 and Mrs. (Gertrude) Chester Van Peursem residing in Orange City. Mr. Boonstra died in 1943.

Survivors besides his the daughter, Mrs. Van Peursem are Mrs. Boonstras 9 grandchildren.

Officiating at the funeral services Monday was Dr. J. Masselink in the absence of Rev. A. Dusseljee at the First Christian Reformed Church. Interment was in the Orange City Cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
