Mrs. Anna De Jager, 100, of Maurice, passed away Friday, February 5, at the Sioux Center Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 9, at the First Reformed Church of Maurice with the Rev.s Kenneth Westrate and Gerrit Docter officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Anna was born May 27, 1887 on a farm 1 1/2 miles northeast of Maurice, the daughter of Cornelius Langerack and Eliza Smits Langerack. In 1905, she married William H. De Jager at Maurice. THey made their home on the De Jager farm until 1908, when they moved to the Langerack farm at Maurice. Later they moved to their own farm 1/2 mil farther north. Mr. De Jager passed away April 9, 1935 at Orange City. In 1936 Mrs. De Jager moved into Maurice. She lived in her own home until 1982 when she lived with her daughters. In 1984 she became a resident of the nursing home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Elnora) McGilvra or Maurice; and Mrs. Alvin (Gladys) Mulder of Orange City; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Mrs. Cora Crowley of LeMars, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, three brothers, and one sister.
