Funeral services were held at 1:30pm Monday January 27, from the Christian Reformed Church of Hull for Mrs. Alfred De Jager, 35, who passed away at her home in Bellflower, Calif., Tuesday morning, January 21, following a long illness.

A brief service for the family was held at 1:00 from her father's home in Hull. Rev. H. Van Deelen officiated at the services. Interment was made in Hope cemetery at Hull, under the direction of Co-operative Funeral Service of Sioux Center.

Pall bearers were John Van Holland, Ed Lokhorst, Peter Lokhorst, Paul Stange, Marvin Boogerd and Harry De Jager. A mixed quartet, composed of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Koele, Mrs. Fred Kromendyk and Norman Vander Ark, presented a musical selection, "The Lord Is My Shepherd."

Mrs. De Jager, nee Gertrude Lokhorst, was born January 22, 1922, to Mr. and Mrs. William Lokhorst on a farm southeast of Hull.

On March 25, 1941, she was united in marriage to Alfred De Jager of George, and to this union were born one daughter, Sophia, and one son, William Albert. For the past six years they have resided at Bellflower, Calif.

Survivors besides her husband and two children, include; her father, Wm. Lokhorst; four sisters, Jennie (Mrs. John Van Holland) of Lester, Caroline (Mrs. Paul Stange) of Doon, Hendrene (Mrs. John Oldenkamp) of Lakewood, Calif., Nelva (Mrs. Marvin Boogerd) of Hull; two brothers, Edward and her twin brother, Peter, both of Hull.

She was preceded in death by her mother on September 29, 1951, and one brother, Peter, on January 13, 1921.
