Funeral services for Henry Zwaan, long time resident of Doon, Iowa, were held Monday, January 14, 1952 at 1:30 P.M. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam Ketell, in Doon. The Rev. J. Van Zweden of Rock Valley officiating; burial was in the Doon Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Sioux Center Co-o. Burial Association.

Mr. Zwaan was born February 24, 1874, in North Holland, and came to America in the year of 1917. He married Grietje Brouwer in 1897. he died January 10th, 1952, in the Sioux Center Hospital, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 17 days. One son Cornelius preceded him in death at the age of 16 years.

Surviving are the widow, and seven children: Ralph Zwaan, Gertie Ketel, Pete Zwaan, Tillie Holtrop, Hilda Rozeboom, Grace Bouma and Nic Zwaan.
