Funeral services for Cornelius Zwaan, 76, of Rock Valley were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Nelson of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Valley cemetery.

Mr. Zwaan died Sunday evening, November 6, in the Sioux Center hospital after an illness of about three year.

September 28, 1884, he was born to Mr. and Mrs. Klaas Zwaan in Petten, The Netherlands, he came to this country with his parents in 1906.
Surviving are three sisters, Greta (Mrs. John Vander Poel), Sadie (Mrs. Tom Ver Doorn), both of Rock Valley and Fannie (Mrs. J.C. Boote) of Worthington, Minnesota.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wil.
