Friends were informed of the death of Mrs. Merlin Youngers in San Diego, California on December 26, following a short illness. Funeral services were held December 29 in San Diego.

Mrs. Youngers was the former Bernadette Schutz, daughter of the late Felix and Marie Schutz of Granville and she was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Alton. She married Merlin Youngers in San Diego in 1942.

Survivors include her husband and two daughters; Paula Okey and Vicki Youngers, both of San Diego, a brother, Jerome, and two sisters, Marian and Kathleen.
