Died: November 25, 1985Cornelius “Cornie” Zomer, 49, of Hawarden was dead on arrival at a Sioux Center Hospital Monday of injuries suffered in a truck accident in Sioux Center.
Services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Netherlands Reformed Church of Sioux Center. The Rev. A.M. Den Boer will officiate. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7-8:30 P.M. today in Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Mr. Zomer was born October 14, 1936, in Corsica, South Dakota, and attended grade school there. He married Joane Schelling June 23, 1955, in Sioux Center. They lived at Corsica, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and rural Sioux Center.
He was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregations.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Herlan Jay of Canyon, South Dakota, James Allen of Hull, Loren Wayne of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Russell Neal of Rock Rapids; a daughter, Linda Kay at home; his mother, Mrs. Herman (Helen) Zomer Sr. of Corsica; two brothers, Herman Jr. of Rock Valley and Clarence of Sioux Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Dick L. (Hermina) Rozeboom, of Rock Valley, Mrs. Cozyn (Nellie) Rozeboom of Inwood and Mrs. Dick G. Rozeboom of Canton, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father
