Funeral services were held at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City at 1:30pm May 17 for Mrs. Reuben DeValois, 70, of Orange City, who died at the Orange City hospital May 15 following a heart attack.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Donald Lenderink and burial was made in West Lawn cemetery.

The former Ella Vander Schaaf was born November 28, 1900, at Newkirk. She was married February 18, 1925 to Reuben DeValois at Orange City. The couple farmed in Sioux and O'Brien counties until returning and moving into Orange City in 1944.

Survivors include the widower, two sons; Roger of Clinton and Galen of Sioux City; six grandchildren, two sisters; Mrs. Martin Vande Velde of Sheldon and Mrs. William Top of Orange City, one brother; Stuart Vander Schaaf of Spirit Lake.
