Funeral services for Gertie Wulfsen, 79, of George, were held Wednesday, August 27, at 1:30 P.M. in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Pastor Frank Elliot officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Home. Mrs. Wulfsen died in Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sunday, August 24.

She was born Gertie Dokter in The Netherlands on February 10, 1901. After coming to the United States, she was married on March 9, 1923 to Jake Wulfsen in Middleburg, Iowa. They lived in Rock Rapids and South of George after their marriage, retiring in 1958.

Survivors include her husband, Jake, of George; two sons, John of Wyoming, Michigan, and Arthur of George; one daughter, Bernice (Mrs. Elmer) Grooms of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
