Lambert Bouma, 89, of Hull died Tuesday, August 7, at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana, Graveside services were Monday at Hope Cemetery in Hull with the Rev. Carl Klompien officiating.

Bouma was born May 26, 1912, to Oetse and Jacoba Bouma. He married Wilma Dykstra in September 1936 in Hull. They farmed until 1965 when he went into carpentry. He continued woodworking until late in life, specializing in furniture, clocks and cabinets. He was a former member of First Christian Reformed Church of Hull.

Survivors include one son, Owen and Karen of Schererville, Indiana; one son-in-law, Verlyn Westra of Orange City; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hattie Vander Heide of Artesia, California.

He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Mary and Lois; and one son-in-law, Darrell.
