Mrs. Sybren Bouma, 81, died at her home here early Dec. 29 after a 5 month illness of cancer.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the home at 1pm and in the First Christian Reformed Church at 1:30 with Rev. M.R. Bronkema officiating. Burial will be in the local cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Bouma was born in Friesland, The Netherlands, Dec. 21, 1860. She came to America in 1891 and lived for 12 years in Patterson N.J. She had been a resident of Orange City for 22 years and of Edgerton, Minn. for 17 years.

Survivors are her husband to who she was married 55 years and the following children; Herbert of Vancouver, B.C. who cannot come for the service, Sidney of Edgerton, Henry of Hancock, Herman of Hinckley, and Jacob of Blue Earth, all in Minnesota, Hillbrandt, address unknown and Julia of Cutlerville, Mich. There are also 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mrs. A De Groot, Jessie died 17 years ago.
