Funeral services were held March 19 at Pella, IA, for Rev. R. D. Douwstra, as former pastor in the Reformed churches of Sioux County, of Knoxville, IA.

He passed away in a rest home in Knoxville, IA, where he had been a patient for three years and bedridden for over a year.

He is preceded in death by his wife, who passed away 10 years ago, and a daughter, Janet, who passed away also.

Rev. Douwstra served the Reformed Church of Newkirk, Boyden, Rock Valley, Lester and churches near Pella and Gano, Ill.

Mrs. Tim L.Rens of Sioux Center survives him as a niece.
