Mrs. Charles E. (Isabel) Tomlinson, 79, Sioux City, died Sunday, October 22, 1995 at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness of cancer.

Services were at 10:30am at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. William H. Steward officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Tomlinson was born April 1, 1916, in Archer , the daughter of Garrit and Nellie (Zordrager) Vander Schoor. She moved to Hawarden as a child with her parents and received her education here. She married Charles E. Tomlinson Jan. 16, 1941, in Sioux City, where they lived for 28 years. She worked at Three Sisters, JC Penny Co. and Younkers. Mr. Tomlinson was transferred to Rochelle, IL., by Swift & Co., where they lived for 27 years and returned to Sioux City in April of 1995.

Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of Grace United Methodist church in Sioux City and Rochelle and was active in various activities.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, C. Edward and his wife, Rita of Sioux City and James Gary and his wife, Jane of Sioux Falls, S.D.; seven grandchildren, Tammy Trudeau, Tina Johnson, Tonia Sieperda, Teri Eddie, Thomas and Katie Tomlinson; five great grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Raymond and Gerry Vander Schoor of Phoenix, AZ., and Harold and Arta Vander Schoor of Hawarden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leslie E.; a sister Madelyn.
