Funeral services were held Friday, December 19, from the First Reformed Church of Rock Valley for Mrs. Nellie Wittebrood, 68, who passed away recently at the Sioux Center Hospital.

Rev. A. A. Dykstra officiated, and burial was made under the direction of Vander Ploeg's of Rock Valley.

Mrs. Wittebrood nee Nellie Ver Maas, was born in the Netherlands July 21, 1890. She came to America at the age of 11 and the family moved to Rock Valley about thirty years ago. She was united in marriage to Jacob Wittebrood, who preceded her in 1930. She was in poor health for the past two years.

Surviving are a son, Adrian, of St. Paul, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin Ykema of Lebanon; a brother, John Ver Maas, of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Jesse Oldenkamp, of Orange City; and three grandchildren.

Preceding her, besides her husband, were her parents and one brother.
