Juanita Pearl Winterfeld, 85, a resident of the Good Samaritan Center of Sioux Falls, died Friday, October 29.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday November 2, at the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley with the Rev. James Peterson officiating. Burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sioux Center.

The former Juanita Alcott was born June 15, 1908, at Van Meter, daughter of John B. and Pearl (Van Schaack) Alcott. She married Fred Karesek October 26, 1926, at Winner, South Dakota. They lived at Reliance, Interior, and Rapid City, South Dakota. He died April 5 1967. She married Henry J. Winterfeld February 25, 1970 at Reno, Nevada. They lived at Rapid City, then moved to Sioux Falls in 1973. They moved to the Good Samaritan Center in December 1991. He died January 5, 1992.

Survivors include two brothers-in-law and their wives, Rudy and Audrey Winterfeld of Sioux Falls and Elmer and Marie Winterfeld of Sioux Center; a niece; and special friends Henry and Lillian Arends of Sioux Falls.
